From My Heart to Their Home
What a beautiful event! I have to say, I think a lot of artists did really well this time.
I participated in the Craft Fair last fall, and while it was a good experience, it wasn't nearly as successful. The Art Walk, on the other hand, brought people who were genuinely looking to invest in art.
Not only did I meet so many wonderful people, but I also had the joy of sending a lot of my art home with beautiful souls and into beautiful spaces.
It's an honor that my work was admired enough to place it in their home. That trust means so much.
It was an exhausting day. I didn't get much sleep the night before because I was preparing everything, and I had to wake up early to pack and set up. The event lasted almost all day, but it was absolutely worth it. I'm already looking forward to more events like this one.
I learned a lot in the process. Two things in particular really helped increase my sales this time around:
1. Framing almost every original. I realized people are far more likely to purchase when the piece feels finished and ready to hang.
2. My attitude. I stayed positive and engaged with people throughout the day, even when I was running on low energy.
Now that I have more space to create, I've started looking at other events for the rest of the year. I've also decided to offer more prints of my originals.
Stay tuned, there's more art and magic on the way.
